Carina Alves

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Mathematics (2002) and a Master’s degree in Mathematics (2005) from São Paulo State University (UNESP – Brazil) and a Ph.D. (2008) in Mathematics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP – Brazil). Completed a postdoctoral fellowship (2012) at Telecom ParisTech – Paris, France, and obtained the title of Associate Professor (“Livre Docente”) in Mathematics from São Paulo State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (2019). Worked in 2009 as an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU – Brazil) and has been working since August 2009 at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro campus – São Paulo, Brazil, currently as an associate professor. Has experience in the field of Algebra, focusing mainly on algebraic number theory and lattices. Participates in the research group titled “Grupo de Estudos de Códigos e Reticulados,” certified by CNPq: dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/3580959212237266. She is accredited in the Graduate Program in Mathematics at IGCE/UNESP-Rio Claro and in the National Network Graduate Program in Mathematics, acting as a professor and advisor.
